Great cabins close to everything, very clean owners are great
Our family of 5 (kids 10, 11, 12) stayed at the 3-bdrm cottage. Nellie was our contact and she was great - quick with emails/phone calls, reservation, check-in/out was efficient. It was in a very good location - we really liked the fact that it was quiet. The cottage was very clean when we arrived and was adequately equipped - we made a # of meals here as we stayed for a week. Smoke detector can be an issue at time with cooking as there is no fan hood inside the cabin - you must ensure all windows are opened and ceiling fan running high but this was a small issue. The only drawback was that the satellite WIFI was quite slow - most of the time I had to tether off my phone for a reasonable internet experience. Satellite TV was great though.The grounds were reasonably kept, the basketball court could use a bit of an update but was quite usable. Close to everything - 15 min walk to Rocky Harbour (2-3 min drive). It was the perfect location for us to explore Gros Morne. It is about 1 hour to the Arches Provincial Park to the north, 40 min to Western Brook Pond, and about 1 hour to the south side where Tablelands /Trout River are. I did not regret choosing to stay a week here instead of staying in 2 places split between the north/south end. As weather is quite unpredictable at times, you always had to change your plans anyway.Laundry was offsite about a 2 min walk - located in Nellie's office.Also good price point; I would return.
Such a great place to stay. Very clean, beds are comfortable. Kitchen is stocked with utensils/plates/pots etc. Lots of towels provided. Highly recommend these cottages. Price is great too!
